Honey Queen
Central Jersey's own Nicole Wagenblast, a senior at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North, was recently appointed Honey Queen by the New Jersey Beekeepers Association at their annual Spring Meeting held this year in Pittstown. She is shown here with NJBA president Bob Hughes (looks sort of familiar, eh?). Nicole has been keeping bees for 13 years (since the age of 5), and has been active with the Beekeepers Association, an organization that promotes and support all aspects of beekeeping in the State and works to educate the general public about the benefits and importance of beekeeping as well as to dispel myths and misinformation concerning the honey bee. As Honey Queen she will be an official spokesperson for the State's beekeepers, and at public functions across the state will help educate the public about bees. |
