    April 30 - July 15

                         1.  Check colonies to see that they are O.K. and strong

                         2.  Add honey supers              [As required]

                         3.  Maintain bee yard Condition [Keep grass down ]

 

         July 15-Aug15

                          1.   Remove honey supers.

                          2.  Check for AFB.      [Before removing supers from yard]

                          3.    Do fall medication [If not using 1PM. method]

4.. Take honey supers home and extract

 

Sept 1 - Oct 1

                          1. Check colony for good queen.          [Requeen]

2 Remove medicated strips if being used

3 Place honey supers back on colonies [Over top of inner cover]

4 Combine weak colonies

                          5 Place entrance guards on colonies.   [Use of rodent bait]

 

After 1st Killing Frost

1, Remove honey supers.

                          2. Flip inner cover over                          [Deep side down]

3 Place wooden block between inner and outer covers.

                          4 Check entrance guards.                                               *

                                                                5 Check colony for winter stores.

                          6 Feed colonies if required

7 Check colony for good winter cluster.
